Posted by: Ernie on January 14, 2005 7:31 PMI like the concept of having a non-gamers gaming group at a place where people are not committed to gaming. However from the (admittedly few) times I have gone to a bar, they have three strikes against them.
- They play music very load, forcing you to yell to communicate.
- They have dim lights, which would make it hard to see the game equipment.
- Lots of smokers so you end up smelling like an ash tray by the time you leave (OK, this last item is not game specific, but is a big part of the reason I avoid bars)
